Police appeal for information following a stabbing in Harris Park

A man has been stabbed in the shoulder with a knife after he refused to hand over his mobile phone in Harris Park.

Police said the 19-year-old man was walking towards the intersection of Wigram Street and Bowden Street when he was confronted by two men at about 9.45pm on Saturday night.  

The two men fled from the scene.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital.
