Two men charged after Granville stabbing

Police have charged two men, aged 29 and 30, after a woman was stabbed at a house in Granville yesterday afternoon.

About 3.40pm on January 29, two men were at a home on Hudson Street.

An argument led to a fight.

A 70-year-old woman, who was also present, allegedly attempted to stop the fighting and was stabbed in the left arm.

Police were contacted and Rosehill Local Area Command and Specialist Forensic officers attended commencing an investigation.

The woman was taken to Auburn Hospital for treatment to the laceration.

Two men were arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station.

A 30-year-old man was charged with affray and armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, he was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
