Police are continuing their investigations after a child was hit by a car in Merrylands on Monday night.
About 6.30pm, a car with P plates was travelling along Railway Terrace at Merrylands and was preparing to turn into Merrylands Road.
The car left the road, mounted the footpath and clipped a six-year-old boy.
The six-year-old suffered cuts and abrasions and was treated by paramedics on site.
He was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks.
The 18-year-old male driver was breath tested at the scene which returned a negative result.
