Police have made a special visit to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead to bring Christmas cheer to sick kids.

Officers played Santa’s little helper on Tuesday and delivered more than 300 gifts to children throughout the hospital.

The presents were donated by police from State Crime Command, Marine Area Command and NSW Crime Commission during a toy drive, run throughout December, at Police Headquarters at Parramatta.

Santa also surprised patients at the hospital after taking a break from toy making in the North Pole.
