Lights a tradition

WITH more than 200 kilometres of string lights, covering 20 acres the Christmas Lights Spectacular at Hunter Valley Gardens is sure to delight.

General manager of Hunter Valley Gardens Kyle McKendry said the Christmas Lights Spectacular, now its seventh year, has the running title of the largest Christmas lights display in the Southern Hemisphere.

"This spectacle grows each year and is such an exciting place to take the kids," she said.

"There is so much to explore, such as the Cinderella Castle and New Christmas Marquee. The Christmas Lights Spectacular, with all its thrilling sights and sounds, has truly become a great family tradition."

The lights will be dazzling every night until Sunday, January 26, 2014 (excluding Christmas Day and night), from 7.30pm.

Gates will open nightly from 6.30pm, with pre-lights entertainment and food stalls.
