An open day planned for Parramatta police station has been postponed due to the command’s increased commitments covering bushfire-affected areas.
The open day was scheduled for this Sunday, November 3, but will now be deferred to a later date yet to be announced.
Parramatta police said the postponement was due to ongoing operations in the Blue Mountains.
When the open day is held, the public will have access to new and old police motorcycles, a police Porsche, the mounted police horses, crime scene investigators and State Emergency Service equipment and volunteers.
Police will hold activities, including an interactive speed detection race for children using police radar to see how fast they run.
