A Merrylands man has been arrested over a spree of armed robberies on the weekend.
Police allege the man, 22, threatened staff at a Granville service station with a knife, about 6.30am on Sunday morning, and fled with cash and cigarettes.
The accused is alleged to have then threatened an attendant at a service station on the Hume Highway in Lansvale a few hours later, about 10am.
Later that day, the same man is alleged to have again threatened staff at a service station on Victoria Road, Ermington.
No one was injured in any of the robberies, police said, but the accused is alleged to have stolen cigarettes and cash from each service station.
On Sunday night, about 10.30pm, police arrested a Merrylands man in a vehicle on Good Street at Granville.
Police said the accused was being interviewed this morning but confirmed they expected to lay several charges against him relating to the armed robberies.
