Police are investigating the cause of a suspicious fire at an electrical substation that has caused power outages in western Sydney on Thursday.
Emergency were called to a warehouse on Redbank Road at Northmead about 6.10am after reports of a fire.
When they arrived they found an electrical substation to be well alight.
A man was found nearby with burns to his face and upper body. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment. Police will speak with the man when his medical condition allows.
A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the cause are continuing.
