LEGENDS of rugby league will roam Kellyville Ridge to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House at Westmead this month.
League greats Eric Grothe senior and Paul Sironen will join other rugby league legends and players at Ettamogah Pub to support seriously ill children and their families.
More than 725 families with a child receiving medical treatment at The Children's Hospital stayed at the house in the past year — about 200 families were turned away because the house was full.
Ronald McDonald House executive officer Mike Thomas said the house had been a home away from home for more than 30 years.
"Having a sick child affects the entire family and our house provides an opportunity for families to continue to live together while still being near hospital treatment," Mr Thomas said. "Families come into a warm, friendly and welcoming environment when they walk through the front door of the house, away from the stresses of the hospital."
The event will include live and silent auctions, entertainment and finger food.
