Former MasterChef contestant and TV personality Justine Schofield will host the Best from the West food festival on Sunday, October 27.
Local chefs, producers and personalities will appear at the festival — now in its second year — from 10am to 4pm at the Lizard Log Amphitheatre at Western Sydney Parklands.
Ms Schofield — a former contestant on series one of MasterChef and current host of Everyday Gourmet — will give a cooking demonstration using produce sourced from Sydney’s west.
“Western Sydney has such a diverse and vibrant food culture and I’m thrilled to help bring it together in one location,’’ Ms Schofield said.
Director of the Western Sydney Parklands Trust Suellen Fitzgerald said this year’s festival would be bigger and better than last year.
“We’re committed to doubling the size and impact of the festival this year by shining a light on the best produce, chefs and producers in western Sydney,” she said.
More than 40 stall-holders will sell western Sydney produce and hand-crafted food at the festival.
