Police are investigating a shooting incident after a man attended Auburn Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg yesterday afternoon.
At around 1.15pm on Sunday, September 22, a 32-year-old man was dropped off at the hospital by a family member.
The man was transferred to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition and received treatment for a single gunshot wound to his leg.
Police briefly spoke with the man but he is not assisting with their inquiries.
Flemington police are attempting to establish where the shooting occurred and are conducting a search of the man’s home in Union Road, Auburn.
Investigations into the shooting are continuing, but police do not believe it was a random incident.
