MATT Keating will play his 130th and final game for the Parramatta Eels on Sunday.
The local junior made his debut in the blue and gold in the opening round of the 2008 season and has been the team’s No.1 choice hooker ever since.
Keating and the rest of the players leaving the Eels were honoured before the game on Monday.
‘‘Being a junior, I’ve been here for a long time and now it’s come to an end, and I need to start a new chapter,’’ the Cabramatta junior said.
‘‘The blue and gold army really get behind us and it gives us a lift. It means a lot to us.’’
Keating will pull on the No.9 jumper one last time against Newcastle on Sunday.
Another player leaving the club Pat O’ Hanlon has been named in the back row and Reni Maitua will pull on the No.6 jumper for the first time. Ken Sio will again deputise for Jarryd Hayne at fullback, but the Origin star will be given to kick off to prove his fitness.
Two-try hero Semi Radradra and Ben Roberts will again team up to form a potent left hand side attack.
Keating said he has one final goal to cap of his time at Parramatta.
“All I need is a try to get off the nudie run,’’ he said.
