A 63-year-old Granville man was treated for head injuries after two men attacked and robbed him.
Police said the victim was attacked as he arrived to his home in Blaxcell Street after leaving shops in Louis Street about 11.15pm, on Thursday.
The victim was hit in the head by one of two males who then stole money from his wallet and prescription drugs from his pockets, police said.
Emergency services were called by the man about half an hour later and he was treated at the scene by paramedics for a head injury.
The victim was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition where he has remained overnight.
Police have seized several items of clothing for forensic analysis.
The two males police would like to speak with about the incident are described as being of Pacific Islander appearance.
Both were wearing black ‘hoodies’ and track pants.
