A 27-year-old man suffered facial injuries after he was attacked and robbed of a mobile phone at Granville railway station on Sunday, August 25.
Police said a man was using a lift at the station about 9.30pm when he was approached by a group of men who assaulted him before stealing his mobile phone.
Police said the group ran off and the victim was able to get help from a nearby delivery driver.
They said the man was taken to Westmead Hospital where he is being treated for a suspected broken jaw and other facial fractures.
