People unable to vote on election day can lodge an early vote from today.
You are eligible for an early vote if you'll be outside your electorate; more than 8 kilometres from a polling place; approaching childbirth; seriously ill or caring for someone who is; or unable to attend a polling place due to religious beliefs, fear for personal safety, disability or work commitments.
Early voting in person (also known as a pre-poll vote) will be available weekdays until September 6 and in some locations on some Saturdays.
To find the location and individual operating hours of your nearest early voting centre visit the AEC’s website at: http://www.aec.gov.au/election/where-can-i-vote.htm or call 13 23 26.
Postal vote applications can be completed and submitted online to the AEC at: http://www.aec.gov.au/election/pva/.
