Due to heavy rain, storm conditions and localised flooding the Tour de Hills has been postponed to March 24.
The tour, of which the Sun's sister papers the Hills News and Rouse Hill-Stanhope Gardens news are media partners, was supposed to be held this Sunday, March 3.
A statement from tour organisers emailed to participants today said: "due to the excessive weather conditions over the last few days and on advice from the NSW Police, we sincerely regret in having to advise you that the Tour de Hills to be held tomorrow March 3 is postponed until the March 24".
"This decision has been made to ensure that the safety and well-being of all riders is not compromised in any way, which would have been the case if we allowed the event to proceed," the statement said..
"We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this postpoment causes to you, family and friends and trust that you will be able to participate on the rescheduled date.
"All your registration details will be retained, so it will not be necessary for you to re-register again.
"We look forward to seeing you on the 24th March, 2013."
