Man charged after chemist robbed four times

A man alleged to have stolen drugs and money from the same chemist in Wentworthville four times will appear in court today.

Police allege the man threatened an employee and demanded prescription drugs and money at the Station Street pharmacy about 3.30pm yesterday.

The man fled with drugs and cash and no one was hurt.

After police were called and spoke to witnesses, an officer stopped a man, 45, nearby and alleged he was in possession of goods stolen from the chemist.

Police from Holroyd Local Area Command attended a short time later and established a crime scene.

Police will allege that the accused was also involved in three other robberies at the same shop since October.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
