Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a restaurant in Northmead yesterday.
Shortly after 8pm, Monday, January 28 a man entered a restaurant on Campbell Street armed with a meat cleaver.
He threatened staff and customers before fleeing the premises with cash.
No-one was injured during the incident.
A crime scene was established which was examined by the forensic armed robbery unit.
The man has been described as being either Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern or Pacific Islander/ Maori in appearance, 180cm to 185cm tall, aged in his 40s with a athletic build.
He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper and black pants.
