BRING Ellen to the Eels!
That's the catch cry of a Parramatta Eels campaign to get American talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres to drop in on a club training session during her Australian visit in March.
The campaign is being driven by social media to persuade the popular personality to experience all western Sydney has to offer.
Club media and communications manager Michelle Keighran said the club considered itself the "heart and soul" of western Sydney.
"We're the gateway to Sydney's west," Ms Keighran said.
"We get all these celebrities that come into the country and don't get the opportunity to experience all the great things that western Sydney has to offer."
She said the campaign aimed to promote the club's brand to the wider community and across the world.
The club wants the blue and gold army to use their twitter power and get #Ellen2theEels trending.
Ms Keighran said they had posted Ellen an Eels jersey along with junior jerseys for 'Princess' Sophia Grace and Rosie, two regular guests on the show, along with other promotional gear.
"We want to get people excited," Ms Keighran said.
"People are saying you're bringing our two favourite things — Ellen and the Eels — together.
"Bring it on!"
