Man bashed, robbed at Toongabbie dance studio

Police have released images of three suspects believed to have bashed a 76-year-old man and robbed a dance studio at Toongabbie last year.

The victim, who owns the business, told police that three men with their faces covered entered the dance studio on Aurelia Street at about 6.30am on Sunday October 28, and confronted him.

He was then threatened with a knife before being tied up and held for two hours while he was assaulted.

The three men then stole an amount of money before fleeing the scene.

Police said the victim freed himself and contacted them.

He suffered minor injuries but did not require any medical treatment.

Detectives have now released security camera images of a man who they would like to speak to about the assault and robbery.

He was described as being of Caucasian appearance, 30 to 40 years old, medium/solid build with short shaved hair and tattoos on his upper arms.

He is depicted in the footage wearing black sunglasses, a black singlet with a motif on the front, light pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
