A man will face court today after allegedly intimidating a Parramatta business owner in an attempt to have him hand over a substantial amount of money.
Police were told that the business owner was approached by two men at his workplace early last month and told to pay a large sum of cash to avoid harm.
Further, the man’s teenage sons were approached and threatened with harm by three men at the workplace several days later.
Strike Force Raptor officers have been investigating the incidents and today (Thursday, January 10) arrested a 42-year-old man at a Strathfield business premises.
The man, from Prospect was taken to Burwood police station and charged with two counts of intimidation and one count of threaten to damage another person’s property.
He was refused bail to face Burwood Local Court today.
Investigations into the two incidents are continuing.
