A 25-year-old Merrylands man has been charged with an assault at a Potts Point nightclub last December.
Police said a nightclub patron was allegedly assaulted and knocked unconscious at a Roslyn Street club about 3am on December 24.
The victim required hospital treatment.
Police searched a house in Merrylands and arrested the man yesterday.
Police said he was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on January 29.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and detectives ask that anyone who was at the club that night and witnessed the incident to come forward.
