Three wins

THE Orioles have maintained their club championship lead by winning three of four matches in the major baseball league.

Most importantly, the first graders won both their round seven matches against Cronulla.

The games began as pitching duels and Josh Freeman's fastball proved the difference.

Catcher Jake Webster's double to the outfield scored two and allowed the Orioles to go on and win game one 5-1.

The hitters struggled until Dane Wigg picked his pitch and sent a ball to the fence for a triple in the eighth inning of game two.

The Orioles won 3-0.

Seconds cruised to a 5-1 win but thirds conceded two early runs before winning 6-3 and the Under-18s lost 4-1.

Orioles firsts will play Blacktown this weekend.
