THERE is good and bad news for Sydney Swans AFL fans.
The bad news is they're out of the preseason NAB Cup after going down by one point in a thriller against last year's grand finalists St Kilda on Saturday night.
The good news is they are back at Blacktown Olympic Park this Saturday night for a NAB Challenge game against Essendon at 7pm.
An AFL spokeswoman said the night would be organised to the same standard as the one held two weeks ago, with family-friendly inclusions such as a kids' zone with jumping castle and petting zoo.
Tickets are available at Rooty Hill RSL, Castle Hill RSL or at the gates, which open at 5pm.
General entry is $10 (adults), $5 (concessions), $2 (ages 6 to 14) and $20 (family pass).
Tickets can be picked up from Rooty Hill by calling 96774916, Castle Hill RSL or at the ticket collection box on the night.
Shuttle buses will run between Doonside station and the venue.
Fans travelling by public transport should allow at least 45 minutes of extra travelling time, as buses replace trains between StMarys and Granville.
Parking will be available at Blacktown Olympic Park Athletics Centre, Morreau Reserve and Western Sydney Parklands.
Meanwhile, Team GWS is a step closer to being confirmed as the 18th in the AFL for 2012 with Tony Shepherd announced as the club's inaugural chairman on Friday. The Transfield Services Ltd chairman is well known for his work on major infrastructure projects across Australia, including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
