ORIOLES announced, yes, they were really back, by beating Penrith in the match of the round in the major baseball league.
Although it wasn't much of a round the second leg of all games was washed out the Orioles did much more than they just say they were back.
The 6-4 win took them to fifth and said they could be returning to the finals.
Orioles made their crucial strike in the fourth innings through hits to Shanin Hislop, Peter Giallombardo, Kye Hislop and Jake Webster.
Chris Crook started on the mound, but struggled with the zone. Josh Freeman took over for the rest of the game and gets the win in his statistics. Meanwhile, Orioles under 18s came from behind to beat Penrith 5-4.
The major league takes a break for three weekends, as the World Masters Games takes over the grounds.
Orioles' next game is against North Shore Knights at Fairfield on October 24-25.
