Parramatta police have charged three men after an armed confrontation on Phillip Street, Parramatta yesterday.
About 4.45pm on Tuesday, Febuary 7, a man was walking along the street when he crossed paths with two other men.
An argument occurred and one man produced a pistol and allegedly pointed it at one of the two other men.
It is further alleged that the man with the pistol pulled the trigger; however, the firearm did not discharge.
A short time later, police from Parramatta Local Area Command stopped a silver-coloured utility on nearby Horwood Place.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a loaded pistol.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
A gold-coloured BMW sedan was intercepted by police at the intersection of Rosehill Street and Denison Road, Merrylands.
During a search of the vehicle police located a small quantity of methyl amphetamine (ice).
The two male occupants, aged 21 and 26, were arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station.
One of the men is a member of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG); the other is an associate of the gang.
The 31-year-old Pennant Hills man was charged with aggravated possession of firearm in public place, possess loaded firearm, affray and assault.
He was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
The 26-year-old Merrylands man was charged with affray and conceal serious offence. He has been refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
The 21-year-old Pennant Hills man was charged with affray and conceal serious offence and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on March 7.
