Merrylands man charged with firearm and drug offences

Holroyd Police have arrested a man after finding drugs and firearms during a raid of his Merrylands unit.

About 1.50pm on Tuesday, February 7 detectives from Holroyd Police searched the Woodville Road unit.

Inside, police allegedly found an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and an amount of methyl amphetamine.

The 44-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of an unregistered firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of prohibited drugs.

He was refused bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court today Wednesday February 8.
