PEDAL power generated $24,000 for the Oncology Children's Foundation last week.

A group of seven cyclists rolled into The Children's Hospital at Westmead on Wednesday after completing the 325-kilometre journey from Canberra in two days.

The riders were all employees of XL Insurance and only one had previous cycling experience. An additional three volunteers from XL Insurance served as support crew.

The company's other employees made puppets and props to put on a magic show for patients at The Children's Hospital.

Money raised will support research within the Oncology Research Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Visit www.ocf.com.au to donate.
