FILM, music and hip-hop fans are invited to the Auburn Community Development network on Thursday, December 10 to celebrate some of western Sydney's emerging filmmakers and urban music artists.
The event will be hosted by Trey one of Australia's leading hip-hop artists with Verbal Eyes, from the Campbelltown hip hop group True Vibenation.
It will include performances from Arab poet Farid Farid and and Pacific Islander hip-hop group Nesian styles with flavour.
The event provides an opportunity for the community to see the digital stories and music acts and celebrate the talent of western Sydney youth.
Between August and November, the Parramatta-based Information and Cultural Exchange, in partnership with Auburn Community Development Network (ACDN) and the Auburn-based Inner West Skills Centre, presented two free hip-hop music and digital storytelling workshops for young people from Arab and Pacific communities.
Participa nts were introduced to lyric-writing, rapping, script-writing, music recording, production, filmmaking and photography to produce their own lyrical/digital story.
